A real “Vila Jardim” with numerous historical gardens relevant to visit: Gardens of Casa dos Condes de Santar e Magalhães, Jardim da Magnólia, Jardim dos Linhares, Jardim Horta Ibérico Nogueira, Jardim da Igreja da Misericórdia, and Jardim of Casa das Fidalgas. Its owners have been the driving force behind the Santar Vila Jardim project, under the guidance of landscaper Fernando Caruncho, which brings together neighboring gardens, which are interconnected, providing a unique route full of charm and surprise.
Still included in the Santar Vila Jardim “Gourmet” guided tour, you will be able to test your senses with Vila Jardim Branco and Red wines, and Serra da Estrela cheese with DOP, accompanied by wheat bread.

Here you will have the experience of Nouvelle cuisine (author's cuisine), contemporary and bold, betting on highly differentiating and distinctive regional products.

15h00 - Guided tour to the Palace and Gardens of the Counts of Anadia, with wine tasting
In the Palace of the Counts of Anadia, the splendor of the Baroque architecture, the organization and experience of an 18th century Manor House can be seen, having as points of interest the 19th century tile panels, the painting collection, porcelain and earthenware and historical costumes.
In the Historical Gardens, it will be possible to get to know the organization of a productive and leisure space, with the Loureiros tunnel, the remarkable trees, the Carreira das Aveleiras, the Exotic Garden and the buildings of the 17th and 18th centuries and the historical landscape.
The visit also passes through the Adega Histórica do Palácio, including the tasting of 2 wines, produced there.

09h30 - Guided tour to Coimbra's botanical garden
In the Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra, a trip through Botany, History and Architecture is recommended. Located at the top of the city, outside the old wall, it extends over an area of 13.5 ha. Founded in 1772, as part of the Pombaline reform of the university, its history and that of the university are intertwined.
In the guided tour “Discovering the World of Plants”, which includes a visit to the Garden and the West Room of the Great Greenhouse, the challenge is to discover some plants from different regions of the globe.
11h00 - Guided tour to Quinta das Lágrimas
Memories have accumulated in the gardens of Quinta das Lágrimas since the 14th century. The oldest document where the Quinta is mentioned dates from 1326, the year in which Queen Santa Isabel had a canal made to carry water from two springs to the Convent of Santa Clara. The place where the water came from was called “Fonte dos Amores”, for having witnessed the passion of D. Pedro, grandson of the Holy Queen, for Inês de Castro.
The other source of the Quinta was baptized by Luís de Camões as “Fonte das Lágrimas”, for being born of the tears cried by the nymphs for the death of Inês de Castro, brutally murdered. “Tears are water and the name amores”, wrote Camões in the “Lusíadas”.
12h30 - Lunch at Pedro e Inês restaurant, at Quinta das Lágrimas
At the Pedro & Inês restaurant, you will discover romantic cuisine. In a cozy space, overlooking the garden, you will find old recipes from Quinta das Lágrimas. Delight yourself with traditional products and discover unique flavors, with fresh ingredients, many of which are produced biologically at the Quinta.
15h00 - Guided tour to the National Forest of Bussaco
In a magical forest, we immerse ourselves in biodiversity. Classified as a National Monument, Mata Nacional do Bussaco is a heritage of singular authenticity.
The central nucleus formed by the Palace Hotel do Bussaco and the Convent of Santa Cruz, are joined by the hermitages, the chapels of devotion and the Steps that make up the Via Sacra, the Fence with the Doors, the Military Museum and the commemorative monument of the Battle of Bussaco.
